Under the terms of the venture, MSC will provide Ann Taylor from its suite of existing and next generation products a global solution for Ann Taylor's sourcing operations.

Ann Taylor will deploy MSC's solution across its global network of sourcing offices from the United States, Asia, and Europe to support its product development, production management, and quality control departments. MSC's application will provide real-time, fully integrated information and analysis capabilities in a dynamic and globally competitive supply chain. The deployment of MSC will ultimately include the active participation of Ann Taylor's suppliers.

According to Jesse Napoli, VP of Information Services, Ann Taylor was looking for technology to better support the company's sourcing strategy. "We set out to achieve a series of goals: facilitate better collaboration, support our growth plan, eliminate redundant effort, and centralize all sourcing data so that we can provide timely business management information," said Napoli.
